The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has issued a Level 2 flash-flood advisory for Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son and Nan provinces following sustained heavy rainfall. Travellers planning to visit northern Thailand are advised to monitor local weather updates, avoid riverside areas and low-lying routes, and check with their accommodation before proceeding. The advisory is in effect until further notice. Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) has activated response teams across affected regions. Popular tourist areas including the Chiang Mai Old City and Doi Inthanon National Park may experience temporary access disruptions.
