SriLankan Airlines has confirmed the launch of two highly anticipated direct routes from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Osaka Kansai (KIX), effective September 2026. The airline will operate four weekly flights to Tokyo and three weekly flights to Osaka using its Airbus A330 fleet. Early-bird promotional fares are available from LKR 185,000 return including taxes, valid for bookings made before 31 July 2026. The new routes are expected to significantly boost tourism and business travel between Sri Lanka and Japan. Passengers can connect onward to other Asian destinations via Tokyo and Osaka hubs.
