Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo has announced an increase in its Colombo (CMB) to Delhi (DEL) route frequency from once-daily to twice-daily effective 1 August 2026. Promotional one-way fares start from LKR 42,000 including 20kg checked baggage. The airline has also confirmed a brand-new route between Colombo and Mumbai (BOM), scheduled to commence on 15 September 2026 with daily flights. The Mumbai route will be operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft with fares starting from LKR 38,000 one-way. IndiGo currently operates over 20 weekly flights from Colombo to various Indian destinations, making it one of the largest operators on the CMB–India corridor.
