Malaysia's My Second Home (MM2H) programme has officially reopened for new applications under revised eligibility criteria. The programme now offers three tiers: Silver (monthly income MYR 10,000), Gold (MYR 20,000) and Platinum (MYR 40,000). Sri Lankan nationals applying for the Platinum tier must demonstrate a minimum monthly income of MYR 40,000 or liquid assets of MYR 1.5 million. Approved participants receive a 5-year renewable visa and enjoy numerous benefits including property purchase rights, tax exemptions on foreign income, import of personal vehicle and employment rights for spouses. Applications are submitted through authorised MM2H agents. Processing time is approximately 90 working days.
